Austin pride and joy. This venue helped put the Austin music scene on the map. Founded by Clifford Antone from Port Arthur, Tx(also my hometown). SRV made his mark here and countless other musicians have been discovered at this venue. Austin's best musicians gather here and you never know who you'll run into if your there. It went from 22,000 to 43,000 sq ft. It can now hold nearly 7,500 people comfortably. It's located on the corner of 3rd & Nueces. It's known for hosting big national acts coming thru town and having lines a couple blocks long before a show. They kept the famous original neon sign and it's now inside the venue.
